As a threat assessment professional, digital threat assessment is vital to a complete investigations. With an ever changing landscape, this type of training is crucial to stay up to date.

When Columbine happened, social media was not as prominent as it is right now. After sitting in and listening to Theresa Campbell (CEO, Safer Schools Together) and her group on several occasions, I would strongly encourage anyone that gets an opportunity to use Safer Schools Together, take advantage of that. Because what Theresa is doing each and every day, is preparing communities from events, such as Columbine, from happening.

After the loss of my daughter Amanda Todd in 2012, I became an advocate to increase the awareness of bullying, cyberbullying, internet safety, exploitation, and mental health. I have been connected to Safer Schools Together (SST) over the course of the past number of years and commend the SST Team for their dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and youth across North America. 

Keeping informed is important and SST stays up-to-date with the critical information needed to better protect ourselves with the technology we are using in our daily lives.  

I have been fortunate to attend a variety of presentations and training sessions provided by SST.  These interactive presentations have provided critical information, as well as important resources that effectively inform and teach those attending how to effectively keep themselves and others safe from violence.    

I look forward to a continued relationship with SST so that we can ensure online safety for all.
