Train the Trainer builds capacity in school communities to address online challenges and trends. Become an SST Certified Instructor and gain the expertise and resources to deliver impactful Digital Threat Assessment® and/or Cyberbullying training within your school community. An Overview of Train the Trainer

ABOUT

Train the Trainer builds capacity in school communities to address online challenges and trends. After completing Train the Trainer, SST Certified Instructors are equipped with the knowledge and resources to deliver Digital Threat Assessment® educational sessions to their own district staff and teams. Instructors will receive a two-year Safer Schools Together certification to conduct Digital Threat Assessment® sessions. After completing Train the Trainer, SST Certified Instructors are provided with an array of meticulously updated training resources, tools, and presentation decks to facilitate their own in-house educational sessions.

Digital Threat Assessment® teaches participants to establish a Digital Behavioral Baseline through a Safety / Threat Assessment lens. By engaging with popular social media applications, you will learn how to find and document worrisome digital media content originating from your community. This training solidifies your understanding of how to effectively use DTA® as a critical part of any modern-day Threat Assessment.

How long will I be certified?

Are there any prerequisites to entering the Train the Trainer program?

Yes! The Train the Trainer: Digital Threat Assessment® training has prerequisites that must be completed prior to the Train the Trainer session. The prerequisites are the following:

*Prerequisite Track 1: DTA® Module and Introduction to BDTA® Module®, Essential Social Media Modules (Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok) via ICDTA®
*Prerequisite Track 2: DTA® Live Training

How much does the Train the Trainer program cost?

The Train the Trainer program is $2500 per person. For teams interested in the program, please fill out the form below or contact the SST Team.

Are there any terms and conditions?

Yes! To become a Certified Instructor, there are a few conditions one must agree to prior to the Train the Trainer session. The complete agreement can be found here.

Employment in a Relevant Role
- You must be employed by an organization that supports individuals in high-stress or crisis environments. Common roles include:
  - Educators
  - Behavioral intervention specialists
  - Healthcare professionals
  - Security or safety officers
  - Direct support professionals
  - Law Enforcement
Organizational Support
- You must have written approval or support from your employer. Your organization should be committed to implementing SST’s de-escalation and crisis intervention practices.
Time Commitment
- Be able to attend the Full Day Instructor Certification Program
- After initial certification, renewal is required every two years.
Willingness to Train Others
- This is a Train-the-Trainer course. You must be committed to facilitating training within your organization.
Access to SST Materials
- After certification, instructors are provided materials (tools, resources, etc.), and your organization will need to provide their class trainees with materials when delivering training.
