About Tami Ketcham

Tami Ketcham is a Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent (SA) who has been employed with HSI since 2010. Tami is currently assigned to the United States Consulate in Vancouver where she is responsible for the HSI Visa Security Program and she assists Canadian law enforcement with cross-border criminal investigations. Prior to moving to Vancouver, Tami was assigned to an HSI office in Virginia where she spent 10 years conducting criminal investigations in the areas of child exploitation, human smuggling, human trafficking, narcotics smuggling, money laundering, intellectual property rights, visa fraud and document fraud. Prior to joining HSI, Tami was employed with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF) as an investigator responsible for conducting investigations of firearms and explosives importers, manufacturers, and distributors.

Presentation | Homeland Security Investigations: Approach to Human Trafficking Investigations

In this session, Tami will discuss Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and HSI’s approach to human trafficking investigations. Discussion will include United States federal law violations pertaining to human trafficking, an explanation of HSI, HSI’s Victim Assistance Program and the use of specialists and forensic interviewers to support and communicate with victims, as well as Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign designed to educate partners about the indicators of human trafficking. Tami will also highlight criminal human trafficking investigations conducted by HSI.
