School Safety Track
Train the Trainer: Emergency SRP/SRM
Overview
Led by the “I Love U Guys” Foundation, the SRP/SRM Full-Day Train the Trainer Workshop introduces the concepts and history of the Standard Response Protocol and the Standard Reunification Method, and how to educate students and staff on the programs and strategies to implement the programs.
The SRP was introduced in 2009 and is a proven enhancement to school safety planning used by thousands of schools in the US and Canada. Later, in 2012, the SRM was introduced to fill a critical void in school safety planning: how to reunite students with their parents after a crisis.
Through discussion and real-world examples, you will discover how the SRP functions as an all-hazards, institutional response and learn how to apply the SRP in both daily operations and emergency situations. Learn about the roles and responsibilities involved in reunification and how the SRM provides school and district safety teams with proven methods for planning, practicing, and achieving a successful reunification. This pre-conference also includes a segment on Incident Command, highlighting its role in crisis management and coordination.
By the end of this pre-conference, you will have the tools to confidently implement the SRP and SRM, enhancing your school/district’s emergency response and reunification plans.
