The caliber of expertise and knowledge shared throughout the Gangs and Guns Symposium was exceptional. The presenters were not only highly knowledgeable in their respective fields, but also incredibly passionate about equipping attendees with the necessary tools and insights to address gang and gun-related issues effectively.
If you work in this environment, if you observe things in your community or schools occurring, then this is the training for you. You will learn immensely and be very appreciative of the training you receive!
The presenters were all very knowledgeable experts in the subject matter they brought forward. I especially enjoyed the emphasis on proactive initiatives and the championing of survivors and civilian partners, who are making a difference in their communities.
I recommend attending the Gangs & Guns Training Symposium. This training is presented by either the experts in their field or the folks that have been impacted by events that they are discussing. I learn something new every year and it helps me be a better officer in my field.
A very informative symposium on the evaluation, impact and trend for Guns and Gangs in North America. A very educational and efficient place for individuals who work with at-risk individuals or youth.
It was a great experience to be able to hear from so many professionals who are clearly passionate and knowledgeable about what they do. I am glad my team members and I were given the opportunity to attend the conference, as we all benefited from it in ways that other trainings wouldn't provide.
This was the first SST Guns and Gangs Conference I have attended. It was a great venue and was very organized. The knowledge and connections made during the conference were well worth the trip from out of Province.
GG should be a requirement for anyone working in these fields. When we are in our community, we are in silos always looking for solutions, banging our heads against the wall. Every year I come to GG, I always leave feeling motivated to know there are so many people who care and believe accountability, leadership, & mentoring can have major positive influences.
This was the first training I've been to that addressed such a wide variety of topics that directly apply to my work with gang-involved youth. I really appreciated that the folks presenting were doing direct work and weren't just academics with theoretical knowledge. I can't wait to attend again next year!
This conference continues to be one of the best information sharing, learning and collaborating experiences out there! Thank you for all the work that goes into putting it together so well!
