Case Consultation

Reported: September 29, 2026 at 11:58 AM

Subject(s): Grade 8; Age 13

Concern: A district reported that during interventions resulting from a prior physical violence incident, peers mentioned “disturbing TikTok posts” from one of the students involved in the fight. Following this disclosure, the district received an email containing further information regarding the nature of the “disturbing” posts, alleging the post utilized “a song often used to glorify shooters.”

Action: SST’s Threat Analysts conducted digital scans and located the TikTok posts consistent with Threat-Related Behaviors, including a video of the outside of the school, specifically featuring the security cameras. The audio referenced in the email was utilized by other users for videos featuring violence, Eastern European military content, and graphic video game clips from sandbox-style games such as “GoreBox” and “Garry’s Mod,” which were observed simulating mass-violence scenarios.

Additionally, we located several TikTok reposts that contained images of/or references to past killers: Nikolas Cruz (Parkland High School), Caleb Vazquez and Cain Clark (Islamic Center of San Diego), Brenton Tarrant (Christchurch, New Zealand), Payton Gendron (Buffalo, New York), and Salvador Ramos (Robb Elementary School).

SST’s Threat Analysts also identified reposted content consistent with Negative Digital Culture/Climate, including references to incel-related subcultures and memes associated with negative online communities such as “4chan.” One term referenced in the reposts, “hypergamy,” was recently cited as justification for the June 2026 Montreal tragedy.

Summary: SST’s Threat Analysts provided the district with a Digital Baseline Report containing the Subject of Concern’s (SOC) digital leakage and corresponding publicly available social media accounts and worrisome content.

Additionally, the SST team recommended a digital device check, specifically searching for the Telegram app. The team also recommended an assessment of the SOC’s browsing history to see if the SOC had accessed “watchpeopledie.tv.” This information provided the School Safety/Threat Assessment Team with additional data regarding the SOC’s digital footprint.

Please note that we do not recommend visiting this website, as it hosts extremely graphic content.

“Mods,” (modifications) alter an existing game or add user-generated content. The mod shown above allows players to use replica weapons from previous tragedies.

Note: The post above describes the mods being shared in a Discord (commonly abbreviated “dc.”) server/chat.

Sample Worrisome Online Behavior Report

Identified: September 2026

Subject(s): Approximately Age 12

Action: During localized scans of a community, SST’s Threat Analyst team identified TikTok Story posts and reposts consistent with Mental Health Concerns, Suicidal Ideation, and Non-Suicidal Self-Injurious Behavior. Additionally, the Subject of Concern (SOC) reshared posts regarding “explosive personality disorder.”

Summary: This information provided the School Safety/Threat Assessment Team with additional data regarding the SOC’s need for additional supports and insights into the content the SOC appears to be engaging with on TikTok.

Sample Anonymous Report

Reported: September 16, 2026 at 9:29 AM

Subject(s): Approximately Age 16

Concern: An anonymous report was submitted regarding allegations that a student had engaged in extortive behaviors consistent with Nihilistic Violent Extremist (NVE) groups.

Action: SST’s Threat Analysts conducted digital scans for the Subject of Concern. While our team did not locate NVE-related content, our threat analysts located content consistent with Negative Digital Culture/Climate, Hate/Racism, and Radicalization, including references to the “Incel” or “involuntary celibate” community and the “looksmaxxing” community.

Summary: SST’s Threat Analysts provided the district with a document containing the SOC’s digital leakage. In addition, we provided instructions to obtain further information via a digital device search and assessment of browsing history. This information provided the School Safety/Threat Assessment Team with additional data to conduct their threat assessment.

Trend: #IamJaneDoe

Summary: In response to a recent lawsuit against a major university regarding sexual assault allegations, social media users have been utilizing the phrase “I am Jane Doe,” as an attempt to “flood algorithms,” and “confuse searches,” to prevent widespread doxing of the plaintiff. The phrase and hashtag have also been used by users to share their own histories of sexual assault, similar to the #MeToo hashtag, which was prominent in 2017.
